POP-BOTTLE ROCKET PROJECT
This spring, our Conceptual Physics students took learning to
new heights—literally—with our culminating Pop-Bottle Rocket
Project!
LEAP - Be Safe! Be Respectful! Be Responsible! Be a Scholar! Our elementary students reviewed and practiced those
positive expectations across all school settings during the last couple of months. Students have been working hard to get
“caught” doing the right thing and earning red tickets. A schoolwide goal of earning 3,000 tickets by April was set and
achieved! Because of this students and staff enjoyed a Hawaiian Party complete with Limbo competition and a photobooth!
Students are now working towards earning a School’s Out For Summer Bash including a slip-n-slide event on June 23rd.
YMCA CLEAN UP MAY 13, 2025
On Tuesday, May 13th Letchworth Junior Honor Society joined forces with
the YMCA staff in Warsaw for a Spring clean up. Students weeded gardens,
planted flowers, cleaned up the playground, wiped down the exercise ma-
chines and spread fresh mulch throughout the grounds. Students also took
part in cleaning up an Eco Garden where they learned how to grow plants
with recycled materials. The day was a huge success for everyone involved!
AROUND THE WORLD IN 90 DAYS
Miss DeGolyer and Miss Becker’s fourth graders have completed an earth-shaking task: researching all of the known 195
countries of the world. The project started quite innocently in mid-March when the 4th grade classroom discovered an empty
bulletin board that just needed to be filled. Recognizing that their students had limited geographical knowledge, the teach-
ers decided to hang a world map, printing out a handful of generic country research pages that students could complete in
spare time, if they so chose. And from this simple beginning, a great lesson began to unfold.
LETCHWORTH FFA SHINES AT 100TH NYS
FFA CONVENTION IN SYRACUSE!
What an AMAZING week for our Letchworth Central
FFA Chapter!
Over 3,400 FFA members from across New York gathered
at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse this May to celebrate
the 100th New York State FFA Convention—and Letch-
worth made an unforgettable impression! With a packed
schedule of competitions, workshops, and recognition cer-
emonies, our students stood out in every way, showcasing
their knowledge, leadership, and passion for agriculture.
AGRICULTURAL ISSUES TEAM TAKES 1ST PLACE!
After eight months of intense research and preparation,
our Agricultural Issues team brought home the gold, plac-
ing 1st in the state! This competition challenges students
to explore complex agricultural topics and present well-
researched viewpoints. Team members Hayden, Sage,
Kaylie, Juli, Tim, Addie, and Maynard delivered a com-
pelling presentation and earned a spot at the National
FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall. Incredible work!

JUNIOR TOOL ID TEAMS REPRESENT
WITH PRIDE
Our up-and-coming FFA members stepped up in the Tool Iden-
tification contest. Levi & Gabe, along with Aubrey & Audrey,
tackled tool recognition and application with confidence.
These juniors demonstrated a solid foundation in ag mechan-
ics—great job representing Letchworth’s future leaders!
WHALE WATCH
If we had to pick one word to describe the 7th & 8th grade trip to Boston it would be smiles.
From the moment the 7th and 8th graders boarded the bus, excitement lit up every face. Whether it was exploring
Howe Caverns, Quincy Market, searching for whales, marveling at marine life at the New England Aquarium, Duck
Boat Tours, Fire & Ice Hibachi dinner, the USS Constitution, and touring in Salem, there was one thing everyone had in
common: a smile.
THE LEGENDS OF 2025
Our graduating 2025 Seniors have truly left a lasting mark on our school. These
LEGENDS will be deeply missed, not only for their achievements, but also for the en-
ergy and spirit they brought to every hallway, classroom, and event. They’ve given us
countless memories—ones that will be cherished for years to come. Two of our seniors
are taking on the incredible honor of serving our country—Isaac Hanson is heading to
the Air Force Academy and Ty Domes is joining the Army. Their courage and commit-
ment inspire us all. We couldn’t be more proud of every single graduate. The future is
in good hands, we wish them all the very best!
As we close out another successful school year, I want to take a moment to con-
gratulate the Legends staff and community on the progress we’ve made “together”!
Serving as Superintendent is a responsibility I hold with deep gratitude, and it is with
sincere humility that I applaud everyone’s efforts, rooted in collaboration, focused
on students, with a commitment to servant leadership. These are not things I have
done, it is what we have done together! As we look to the future, we remain
committed to continuous improvement, collaboration, and maintaining a district cul-
ture where everyone is seen, heard, and valued. Thank you for your ongoing trust
and partnership with LCS. Together...WE are Letchworth, a place where LEGENDS
are built.
