Notice to the School Community- Water Sampling Update

Notice to the School Community – Water Sampling Update

As part of new, more stringent NYS water quality requirements, our school recently completed testing on 71 water outlets throughout the elementary school. These updated regulations are designed to ensure the safety and quality of all drinking water sources used by students and staff.

Based on the results, 14 bathroom sink areas were identified as needing precautionary measures. While these sinks are not typically used for drinking, we are required to post signage advising staff and students not to drink water from these faucets. All affected areas have been clearly marked, and we are actively informing the school community to help ensure everyone’s safety.

We are in ongoing communication with the local Health Department to ensure compliance with NYS guidelines and best practices. Additionally, water testing will continue in both the Middle School and High School buildings as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all.

We are also planning to address necessary plumbing upgrades as part of future capital projects to ensure long-term compliance with state water quality standards.

Thank you for your continued support as we take these important steps to protect the well-being of our students and staff.

Please see the attached documentation below for detailed testing results and additional information.
