Medical and prescription coverage is provided through the Genesee Area Healthcare Plan (GAHP) and administered by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Employees may be eligible for the PPO and/or PPO D-2 plans as determined by collective bargaining agreements and Board of Education policy. For more information, visit the Genesee Area Healthcare Plan website. Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) for each plan is provided below. Contact Wendy Hoffman in the Business Office for enrollment forms or with questions. Open enrollment is the month of June and the plan year is July 1 - June 30.

Once enrolled, employees may create an online account to view claims and plan information at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield/GAHP.

Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC)

As part of the health care reform law, the government established a new health plan information document called the  Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC). The SBC will help you understand and compare different medical plan  options. It provides an overview of each medical plan in a standard format and is written in easy-to-understand  language.
