FFA At NYS Fair
On August 25, 2018 the Letchworth FFA traveled to the NYS State Fair to compete in the Small Engines And Diesel Troubleshooting Contests. Letchworth earned a 3rd place team ranking in the Small Engines contest (Kyle VanSlyke and Danny Stetzel) and a 4th place team ranking in the Diesel Engine Troubleshooting contest (Owen Quartz and Kyle VanSlyke). Danny Stetzel placed 8th individually in Small Engines. Nate Errington received a 3rd place individual placing in the Jr. Diesel Engine Troubleshooting contest. Kyle VanSlyke placed 7th individually in the senior category. Kyle, Owen, Danny and Nate all did incredibly well and they enjoyed exploring the NYS Fair.
The Letchworth FFA also transported a fully restored 1958 Farmall Cub tractor to the Fair. It was restored over the last few years by Letchworth Ag. Mechanics students. The tractor will be raffled off with all proceeds going to the NY FFA Foundation. It was a big hit at the Fair! (See photos above)
